Happy Mother's Day

This year for Mother's Day we used our Recycling Unit Flowers (follow this link to see it) and added the kids' cute little hands to look like they are carrying them!
Just trace there adorable hands, write their name, date, and a message for mom, and mod podge it to the cans. We are sending these home along with their Mother's Day cards!

Mother's Day Celery Stamp Flower

This year for Mother's Day we created these adorable flower cards.  Here is how we made it:
Cut the stalks off the celery and you create a beautiful flower stamp.  Fold white construction paper into a card and get some paint (I chose red to look like roses).
I had the kids paint the celery because it created an even layer to stamp.

We created the stem with strips of paper leftover from Twirl 3-D Art.
Add some thumbprint leaves and done!  Super easy for kids to complete by themselves.

Earth Day Art

Happy belated Earth Day!  Here is a fun and easy way to make Earth with your kids....props to my co-worker Abby!
All you need is coffee filters and watercolors.  It is also a great way to discuss the colors of the world seen from afar.

Recycled Can Planters: Earth Day Project

During our recycling unit, we reused cans to plant marigolds.  It was a time for the kids to get messy and learn about planting.
I told the kids the only rule was for them to get messy, so they had to scoop out the dirt!
Give them a few seeds.  This is also a great time to discuss how different seeds look.
Time to get dirty!  Have them scoop dirt with their hands to cover the seeds.

Make sure to water them good!

March Shamrocks

Easy and messy shamrocks that are fun to make and beautiful to display.
Have kids create a glue design on a cut out of a shamrock.
Watch as they turn the shamrocks into glittery art!  (FYI: This will turn into a glitter explosion)
Add to a classroom wall or hang from the ceiling.  Enjoy the March fun!

Easter is Everywhere!

Easter has taken over!  Eggs, chicks, and bible verses make a beautiful atmosphere.  Here is a look into my Easter world:
This chick I found in a pack of two for $1.00 at Target!  His pal is sitting on the other side of the nest.  How could I resist these cute little guys and at such a bargain (look in the dollar section to find your own).
There is that other little yellow guy.  He is protecting his egg in that lantern. Oh, that silly chick!

I switched out candles for eggs nesting in this antique bottle holder.  I put this beautiful bible verse in a modern chevron background to create a modern chic look.

Easter Wreath

Add some Easter cheer to your entrance with a simple wreath.
What You Will Need:
Grapevine Wreath
Hot Glue
Egg Garland
I took the garland and cut the individual pieces apart.  This made it easier to arrange evenly on the wreath.
First arrange the egg garland around the wreath to make sure it is evenly distributed.  Then glue them down.  Easy as that!

Easter Printable Quotation

This year I will be decorating for Easter with a modern chic look, so I wanted to create a printable that reflected both these aspects. The chevron print creates a modern feel with a grey/brown and white chic color combination.
